Soft Molasses Heart Cookie Recipe ~ from Stranded Foodie

Today, I’m just thinking about these soft comforting molasses cookies that might also be the perfect Valentine’s Day gift for that someone special. They are so different from a sugar cookie and I especially like molasses which gives a nice depth of flavor and soft texture to this cookie.

I think I’ll make large heart-shaped cookies and ice them with a simple confectioners icing that has a small touch of butter and vanilla bean extract. Then decorate them to look like pretty valentines with little sugar beads in pink, white and red. Perfect!
