Blue Ash Chili ~ A Stranded Foodie Favorite

When visiting Cincinnati, Ohio, I love to pay a visit to Blue Ash Chili. This diner style restaurant is known for their massive-sized double and single-decker sandwiches and some of the best Cincinnati-style chili I’ve ever tried. For the non-Cincinnatians, this is a great way to discover what Cincinnati chili is all about… with a hint of cinnamon and a bit of spice, it’s typically served over spaghetti and mounded with lots of finely grated cheddar cheese. Or, for a lighter version, a bowl of their chili is the perfect choice.

Blue Ash Chili serves their flavorful chili many different ways including 3-way with cheese, 4-way with onions or beans and cheese, 5-way with beans, onions, and cheese, and a 6-way which includes all the other versions items and fried jalapeno caps. Phew!… that’s pretty hefty chili… but it’s all good when your in the mood for Cincinnati-style chili.

Once visited by Guy Fieri from Diners, Drive-in, & Dives on the Food Network, Blue Ash Chili has specials named for him including the “Guys Way Dogless Popper Slaw Dog” which is fully loaded with fried jalapenos caps and everything else you can imagine. Totally naughty! Too much for me, but people just love the specials.

They also serve some of my favorite ice cream of all time, the locally made Aglamesis Brother’s ice cream. Truly rich and sinful ice cream which can be made into a delectable shake or malt. Okay, they also have some great lighter menu options too. They really are worth checking out if you’re in the Cincinnati area.

You’ll find Blue Ash Chili at two locations: 9565 Kenwood Road, Blue Ash, Ohio  (513) 984-6107

4200 Aero Drive, Mason, Ohio  (513) 492-9650
