One of my favorite comforting appetizers to make for the Super Bowl game, is my warm artichoke, green chiles, and Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese dip. My recipe is a take on this classic 80’s dip, but I cut back the mayonnaise and add sour cream to the recipe. One of the most delicious Provençal traditional sauce is aioli. Similar to mayonnaise, this creamy sauce is made with egg yolks, garlic, fresh lemon juice and olive oil creating an emulsion. I love how versatile aioli is because you can add other flavor goodies to this recipe to create different versions. Like swapping out the tarragon and adding chipotle peppers for another crazy good twist.

You can use this delectable sauce as a great dip, a sandwich spread, for a nice Provençal-style fish soup, or dollop some on grilled meat or fish. Continue reading Stranded Foodie Garlic Tarragon Aioli Recipe

All you need are egg yolks, Dijon mustard, oil and some fresh lemon juice. You will want to make sure you use the freshest eggs when making mayo from scratch.

By adding additional flavor goodies to my basic recipe, you can use it in many different dishes. For example, add some herbs Continue reading Easy Fresh Mayonnaise Recipe from Stranded Foodie

Grilled Ribeye Steaks with Flavorful Chimichurri Sauce Recipe ~ from Stranded Foodie

If you haven’t yet tried Chimichurri sauce, you’ll have to try it the next time you grill a steak. Just spoon some over the steak and serve. Or, try it on fish, chicken, or add it to a pasta dish.

Originally from Argentina, this flavorful vibrant green condiment is typically made from parsley, cilantro, garlic, oregano, olive oil, red vinegar and some chili pepper for heat. It’s very similar to a pesto. I like to add a little fresh lemon juice, a pinch of cumin and smoked paprika for Continue reading Grilled Ribeye Steaks with Flavorful Chimichurri Sauce Recipe ~ from Stranded Foodie
