Picking Giant Blackberries in North Carolina ~ from Stranded Foodie

Here I am picking those giant blackberries last June in North Carolina.

One of the things I miss about North Carolina are the huge fresh blackberries you can hand pick at Lyon Farms. This farm is located just north of Raleigh in a little town called Creedmoor. There, you will find blackberries the size of your thumb! The season is coming up quickly, so if you live in the Raleigh area, Lyon Farms is a foodie find for you blackberry lovers. For me, the best part about picking them is nibbling on a few while you are gathering them in your bucket. I’ve Moved Cross-Country Again! ~ from the Original Stranded Foodie

Yep, I have just moved again and I’m missing some of my favorite regional foodie finds that I discovered while living in Raleigh, North Carolina. This latest cross-country move takes me to the Bay Area which is where I started my journey to the beautiful south. After being gone for over five years, it’s great to be back; but now I am craving certain Carolina dishes. So, I need to get back into the kitchen and make what I am now missing.
